Veneers
Hale & Hale, DDS Offers Custom Dental Veneers in Santa Monica
More and more patients in our Santa Monica dentist office are choosing veneers to improve their smile. Veneers are custom-made shells of porcelain that are made to resemble natural teeth. They are attached to your existing teeth to create a brand new, beautiful smile.
There are many reasons individuals choose to get veneers: chipped or broken teeth, worn down teeth, discolored teeth, etc. are all good reasons to discuss getting veneers at your local Santa Monica dentistry.
What is involved in getting veneers?
- Discussion with your dentist – During your initial dentist appointment, you can ask our Santa Monica dentists any questions you have about the process of getting veneers. The dentist will examine your teeth, take photos, X-rays and/or impressions. These impressions, or models, of your teeth and mouth will be sent to a lab, who will then custom make your veneers.
- At the following appointment, our trained dentists will remove some of your natural tooth enamel so that there’s room to add the veneer on top of your teeth. Next, veneers will be fitted in your mouth to make sure the fit and color are just right. Color and trim may be adjusted for the perfect look. Then, your tooth will be cleaned and cemented for the veneer to stay on. Finally, the dentist will use a light beam to harden the cement to the veneer and your natural tooth.
